Office Home and Student 2007 Installation Problem

Hi,
I bought a "Office Home and Student 2007" with product key, but there is no
disc/CD in package.
So I downloaded "x12-30107.exe" for installation from MS download web page.
And rebooted after doing "Windows Update"
If I run "x12-30107.exe", automatically it's ended without any message after
extracting files.
I am using licensed Windows XP Home edtion and main memory is 384MB
Could you let me know how I can fix it?

Check if u any office suite installed in ARP. If you any remove it.
Run x12-30107.exe and install it.
If after extracting files nothing happens.
Extract manually like <wherever on computer\x12-30107.exe
/extract:C:\office> and run setup.exe from C:\office folder.

I have another another problem and question.

I installed it successfully, and tried to activate it via internet and
telephone.
But I got an error message which was "Product key has already been activated
maximum number of times permitted as in license".
What is the maximum number of times permitted as in license?
This is the first time installation and activation on my PC.
I think that someboby picked up my product key and have already used it
after I had opened it.
How can I recover and make it to mine if I have receipt ?

Call Microsoft , they may charge you $10 for a new PK if you have a disc.
