Office Home and Student 2007 loading on top of Windows xp

We have purchased Office Home and Student to load as our curren
programmes have somehow dropped off excel.
We also have Windows XP Hpme edition.

When loading Office Home and Student we get the message cannot loa
until XP is loaded.
When we try and reload XP we get the message 'cannot load until X
Front page is loaded. We don't have Front page.
Any ideas what we can do

If you have a problem with your PC, which ' dropped off excel' would seem to
indicate, you need to solve that problem before you try upgrading or
installing another Office version.
What exactly does 'dropped off excel' mean? and what version of office were
you using?

Are you by any chance trying to install Office 2007 H&S over Office XP ??
