New HP computer with Vista and new Office home and student 2007. When I try
to load Office it won't do anything.

I install disk into drive, get a pop up window with Run SETUP.EXE. I click
on it and can hear the drive rev up but then it goes silent and nothing.

Have you tried copying the disk to the hard drive and installnig from there?

There is a 60 day trial already loaded on the PC. Is this causing an issue?
If I don't want to try it for 60 days but want it activated can I do that?

djmtmm said:
Yes and no luck with that either.
