Home and Student trial was preinstalled on my new HP Vista machine. I see in
the EULA that it is licensed for up to three computers when fully activated
(and paid for).Questions:
(1) The other computer, used by my wife, I think with her name as user, has
XP as the OS-can I install the Office 2007 on both my new HP and the laptop.
(2) If I can install Office 2007 H&S on hers, how so I do it with the one
activation code?
(3) Is there an e-mail or live chat with MS available, free? I couldn nto
find it.
Thanks for the help

(1) and (2): If the EULA in your Office 2007 Home and Student says up to
three computers, then you can install on any combination of computers with a
compatible version of Windows for non-commercial use. Windows XP is
compatible. You use the same activation code. If you have any problem with
activation, Microsoft provides a number to call when a activation problem
occur.

If you have a trail version of Office 2007 Home and Student installed, HP
should not have charged you for the trial version. IMO, you should uninstall
the trial version and purchase it from Amazon.com or the computer program
source you prefer. Likely you will find it costs less than to pay the
conversion cost for the trial. Also, you should check the different
versions of Office 2007 ensure that you get the set of programs you
need/prefer. For example, H and S includes OneNote but not Outlook. I
suspect that your new HP has qualifying products installed for upgrade
versions of other Office editions. You can obtain qualifying products here:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101754511033.aspx
Note, that other versions of Office do not allow the installation of up to
three computers.

(3): I know of none.
