Office Home & Student 2007 PRODUCT KEY..Help

I got my new laptop back in August and had purchased Office Home & Student
2007 and had Best Buy put it on while in the store.

Anyways, some of the programs on it such as Excel, Word ask for Product Key.
I tried to put the one in that is inside of the hardcover case and wouldnt
take it.. so then I spent like 1.5 hours on phone with a Microsoft Tech and
she gave me a new one and that still didnt work and she got fusterated I
could tell and just said I would have to figure it out.

This is very fusterating as I have spent days tryin to get it and now I
thought I would check this place.
Maybe I just need to take it back to Best Buy and pay them whatever it cost
to enter or figure out why my product key dont work..

Anyone got any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Actually I would take it back to Best Buy and tell them to fix it for free.
You purchased the program and laptop and I am sure at that time you paid to
have the program installed. Obviously they didn't do it right. (One of the
issues by going to that and companies like that is the level of computer
knowledge their employees have.)

Did they UNINSTALL the Trial version first? I suspect that is where the
issue is coming from. They (Best Buy) should correct the issue for free
as it is was their oversight.

I bet that you have a Trial version of Office installed since you bought the laptop from Best Buy. Makes sense. You purchased the laptop in Aug probably around the 2nd week and the 60 day Trial is corresponding to this month and about the day.
That is probably why the key given by the MS tech does not work (and he got frustrated) and the key on your CD case which probably contains the OS CD is for the Operating System not for Office
