Office Home & Student 2007 Upgradeable?

I just wanted to confirm whether or not Office Home & Student 2007 will be
upgradeable for future releases. I had read that the 2003 Academic/Student
version of Office could not be upgraded. I want to be sure I won't have to
keep buying full versions for every release!

(With the understanding that nobody knows the future and Microsoft could
change their minds two years from now.)

Hi Rebecca,

Upgrade provisions for the next version of Office after 2007 probably won't be known until that version is released

What we do know is that MS Office 2003 Student & Teachers Edition retail package (which is different package from the MS Office
2003 academic license) is not offered in an 'upgrade package' but is, instead offered at a discounted price for that edition. The
Office 2007 Home & Student edition is also not available in an upgrade 'package' but is promotionally priced.

The 2003 Student & Teacher's Edition is a qualifying product to use for purchase any Office 2007 product suite that *has* an upgrade
package avaialable though.

If you mean to upgrade to Office Home 2010 (or whatever!) then Microsoft only
offer upgrades on full commercial versions as they are incredibly expensive,
hence the need to offer an upgrade price (as no one could afford to purchase
it! Or unless the improvements were huge, no one would bother to purchase
it!)

The home version is priced at $130??? (I'm in the UK so just did a quick
search.) How cheap do you want it to be!
