my sons laptop didnt get the OHS2007 loaded when he upgraded to win7. had to
do clean install & forgotto load from CD. Can I d/l from web if i have
prod.key but dont have CD? or should I dl a trial version until I can get the
cd. He needs for school papers. doh!

No; you have to install from origonal media.
You can use a trial version as a stopgap, but must uninstall any Trial & its
Activation Assistant, then reboot, prior to installing purchased version
from media (Your purchased key will not work with the trial)

Yes you may download a trial of the same Office Home and Student and enter
the product key you have. This WILL work.

As an addendum to what Frenchguy says - if you DO go down this route, when
you have downloaded the trial version - MAKE A COPY OF THE FILE ONTO
REMOVABLE MEDIA.
You can add a text file to it with the product key in as well.
