Office Home & Student trial edition

confused

I have downloaded and attempted to install this trial version & every time I
try to run the setup it says ...encountered an error in set up & did not
install successfully. The same goes with the uninstall. It is listed in my
Add/Remove programs but I cannot change or remove it. HOW DO I JUST GET RID
IF IT?? Please help me :(

NO! I even took someones advice to download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
and remove 2007 components individually & now I think I screwed it up even
more. :(

If you read the warning, even Microsoft says not to use the utility with
Office 2007.

Ok, apparently I missed that warning. Am I at a point of no return, would a
system restore make any difference or is it time to take my computer to a
professional?

Personally, I'd flatten the darned thing and start from scratch. You can try
a system restore but no guarantees there.

Please excuse my ignorance one more time but what does "flatten the darn
