Office icons changed to default!

For some odd reason, my Office icons (Word, Excel, etc.) have reverted to a default Windows icon. Like they are generic programs. And I can't change the icon by clicking on Properties. That item is grayed out. Also, all of the .doc and .xls files have a default, generic Windows icon. Even thugh I went into FOLDER OPTIONS in Windows Explorer, they still show that way. They open in the correct Office app, but they all look terrible. I am running Office 2000 on Win XP and this happened overnight. No virus. Any ideas?? Thanks very much in advance

Jeff:

This is because the icon cache that Windows maintains has become corrupt.
The easiest way to resolve this is go to the Windows web site and dependent
on the version of Windows you are running, download the appropriate version
of the app TweakUI, which is one of the power tools. In TweakUI there is an
option to repair icons, which will rebuild this cache. Should solve the
problem.

I have this same problem that only happens with Microsoft icons for Office
xp, Streets and Trips, Money, and PowerPoint. I have tried the TweakUI to
rebuild the icons and they still have the default unknown program icon.
Running XP Home SP1. Any other ideas?
