Office install problem

I posted this yesterday, in the wrong forum, re-posting here.....


Hi, I had MS off 2003 pro installed on my system, (NOT OEM) and office
2000 installed as well (again NOT OEM), I did an update to both XP and
office, I didnt use office for several days , when I tried using
accesss and I received a msg that indicated that my install had become
corrupt, I tried doing a repair install, no luck, I uninstalled office,
tried to reinstall, received the following msg
' an errror occured during the installation assembly component,
received an error msg of 1935, showed hresult 0x80131700

I followed several steps to fix this on ms kb area, no luck , Ive
uninstalled all office components

any help would be 'greatly' appreciated

I had office 2000 SBE on first, when I installed offcie 2003 por, I kept
Word and excel installed, had no problems until I updated both XP and
office on the same day, then access stopped working

I have tried uninstalling 2000 and then reinstalling 2003, no luck, i
vemade sure my xp is up to date on updates etc, I tried doiong
everything in safe mode, logged in on my comp as 'me' and as 'admin',
still no,luck.

I also lost the office sba too
