I am trying to install Office Pro 2003 on a win 2000 sp4 pc and it hangs on
the preparing installation wizard screen, with only the cancel button
showing. I tried the disk on other pcs and it will install ok. I tried an
office 2000 cd and it would install on this particular cd. Install log
indicates that a previous install failed. There is nothing in add remove
programs, win installer 3.1 is installed. I have emptied the temp and
msocache folder , removed entries in the registry. It is being installed with
admin rights on the pc.
