Office Installation Problems

When trying to install my copy of Office XP Standard I
received an error code missing file: F:\Office1.cab

What do I need to do now? Is this a file that should
have come on the new computer that I just purchased or is
it a problem with my driver?

I am a novice and quite frustrated.

Are you installing from a CD ROM drive and is it drive F:\ ?

If it is drive f: then you will have to open explorer and see if the
office1.cab file is on it (and it should be). If it is there then there is a
problem with the setup installation program.

If it's not there, and I'm assuming it's supposed to be there, then you have
a bad copy of the program and the CD itself should be returned to the
seller..
