Office Installations

When I do a custom installation I have the following options to select from
-Run from my Computer
-Run all from my Computer
-Office Soap Toolkit
-Install on first try

Could you explain what the options refer to and when are they best
recommended to use for a home or office usage. I install a lot of the Office
Suite for the company but don't know if these are options I should consider
during the installation procedure.

Thanks

"Run From My Computer" means that all the files and registry entries
associated with that feature will be copied to your hard drive.

"Run All From My Computer" appears only on features that have
sub-features (which you can see by clicking the + sign and expanding
the tree). It just means to install ("Run From My Computer") all of
the sub-features.

"Install On First Use" (not "try") means that the files for that
feature are not installed on your hard drive; only enough information
is placed in the registry to show that feature in the Start menu or
other menus. The first time you try to use the feature, the installer
will start up and, after asking for confirmation, will install the
files and the rest of the registry entries for that feature. In some
places a feature that is semi-installed this way is said to be
"advertised".

The Office Soap Toolkit is obsolete and should be ignored or, if
possible, removed. The page
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C943C0DD-CEEC-4088-9753-86F052EC8450
explains that "The Microsoft SOAP Toolkit is deprecated by the .NET
Framework. The toolkit provides basic Web services capabilities for
COM components and applications. SOAP Toolkit support has been
extended from the originally posted July 1, 2004 deadline. Mainstream
SOAP Toolkit support will now be retired in March 31, 2005 with
extended support lasting until March 31, 2008."
