office installed, but setup appears at each startup

I installed office xp (version including frontpage) on my PC and it
worked fine for a month. since a few days the office xp setup dialog
is loaded each time I start Windows XP and asks for a file called
proplus.msi - the same problem appears when I doubleclick an
office-file.

I can perfectly work with all installed office programs, but get
annoyed by the continuous start of office setup. Where can I disable
the automatic setup in the registry?
