Office keeps asing for DAO CD-ROM

System bombed. Reinstalled Win2KP. Downloaded and
resinstalled IE 6.1 . Upon reboot, Windows Installer
keeps asking for a CD-ROM containing "DAO". Office apps
refuse to run and tell me to reinstall. Can't
because "This package could not be opened. Contact app
vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer
patch pkg." Can't reinstall starting with Office 95.
Office 2000 SR-1 wont install either. Can't uninstall,
either! Please tell me how to get out of this swamp.
