Office Keyboard "F Lock" Key

L

Lee

I am using a Microsoft Office keyboard. I need to have
the F Lock key (Function Keys)enabled by default. My
BIOS and numerous programs use the normal function keys.
This has become a severe annouance.
Does anyone have an idea as to how the function keys can
be the default setting for this keyboard.

Thanks,
Lee

Short answer: It can't be done.

Slightly longer answer: There are said to be a number of work-arounds for
this problem. I tried a couple of them. None of them worked for me except
for the one that says "Train your right hand to hit the FLock key as soon as
the computer boots up and hope that in the next version/update of Windows,
Microsoft will fix this annoyance."

Why not train your left hand, since the F-Lock key is on the Left side of the
Keyboard?
