Office License check

Meebers

I have two retail versions of Office 07. I put one on my desktop and I put
one on my laptop. I have since realized that I can use one of these
licenses on my desktop and a portable (laptop). I want to use the other
license on Win7 RC and later on the final release of Win7 (90 day limit??).
How do I go about changing the license on my laptop to the same one as the
desktop, then using the previous license for the laptop to install OFfice 07
on Win7??

Generally you can't "remove" license from one system and install it on another.
Although you can change the serial number but I won't advice you on this because
by the time official version of Windows 7 comes out, it will be more than 120
days since last activation. You are allowed to activate and re-activate every
120 days as Microsoft's database is wiped clean every 120 days.

In theory you can continue installing the same license on multiple systems every
120 days

Currently there is no facility to notify MS that you have "uninstalled" the
product from one system and re-installed it on another like ADOBE does. You can
install your current twin license packs on 4 systems so what are you worried
about? After 120 days + 1 day, you can install on another 4 systems and so on!
I have never seen CEO or Steve Ballmer from Microsoft visiting people to tell
them off! I know people have installed MS products on multiple systems by
MISTAKE and still got away scott free!!

Go ahead and enjoy MS products for now. Next year Google is coming out with its
own products but you will have to pay a massive ZERO dollars for these!!
