How to ask a question:

After furious head scratching, LVTravel asked:
| || I understand with Office 2007 you are licensed to install on one
|| desktop and
|| one mobile device. Are you allowed to install on say a notebook used
|| at home
|| (where the notebook is essentially used as a desktop) and a netbook
|| used at
|| school etc?
||
|| on a side note where do i find my activation key within my existing
|| installation of office? i dont have it anymore.
||
|| cheers!
|
| Depends on the version of Office you have. If you have a retail
| version of Office other than Home and Student, you can install as
| Gordon stated, one primary and one portable "for exclusive use of the
| primary user of the primary device." Home and Student can be
| installed on 3 concurrent computers within the same household, but
| not to be used for commercial purposes. OEM and MLK versions can
| only be installed on one computer and the license dies with the
| computer, in other words, can not legally be transferred to another
| computer.
|
| Now, without the license key you need to read the disk label for the
| type of installation.
