Office Live: Update Not Working

I am trying to access Excel files within Office Live. When I click on the
link to edit the file, it tells me that I need to update my system in order
to open with Excel. However, when I accept the dialogues to install the
update, I eventually get an error that it can't be done.

The following are the last two lines from the log file: Installing using
command
'C:\Users\bsohn\AppData\Local\Temp\VSD37D.tmp\VistaKB948531\Windows6.0-KB948531-x86.msu' and parameters '/quiet /norestart'
Process exited with code 1
Status of package 'Windows Vista update (KB 948531)' after install is
'InstallFailed'

I tried running the .msu file standalone but get an error that says "The
update does not apply to your system."

I am running Windows Vista SP1 with all current updates.

Thanks for any help with this.
Also, I apologize if this is not the right newsgroup but it was not clear to
me which one to use.

I looked into your problem and came into a post on the Office Live Wiki
page that I have copied below. I'm not tech support for Office Live so
I'm not sure it is exactly what you are looking for but it's worth
