LET ME BEGIN BY SAYING I'M NEW AT THIS. OCCASIONALLY WHEN I KEY IN A FIGURE IN A CELL ,I WILL GET A DATE!!! NO MATTER WHAT AMOUNT I USE, I'LL GET A DIFFERENT DATE. ANY HELP WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED. THANKS,

Change the format of the cell (Format/Cell/Number, or the Format
dropdown in the Number section of the formatting palette) to General
instead of Date.
