Office:Mac 2004 on two computers

Help! I have a legally purchased Office:Mac 2004 student and teacher
edition. The software comes with three product keys. I have two
laptops in my home...one for me, one for my daughter. I have had to
install this program at least once on my laptop due to
corruption of some files. I recently installed it on my daughters
machine. Now whenever I am on Entourage or Word she gets a message
saying that two people are using the program and she must shut hers
down.
So first - since there are three product keys, shouldn't we be able to
use the programs at the same time.
second - if I used the same product key, how can I find out which one
I
used to install Office on each machine?
third- Please, how can I fix this so we can both use Word or entourage
at the same time?
Thank you so very much!!!

Don't know exactly what happened, but reinstalling apps is almost never
necessary, since apps just don't corrupt very frequently (compared to
preferences, which get corrupted much more easily). However, you may
have had the rare case.

Yes.

You can't - but it's not a major problem (however, you might write it
down in case you have to reinstall again).

Run the Remove Office application. After it's loaded, hold down the
Option key and click the Remove Licensing Information Only button. You
can then reenter your CD key.

If you get the message that the copy is already running, repeat and
enter a different key.

Hi,

in Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office, there
is an application called Remove Office. Launch it, but do *not* click on
Continue. Instead, hold down the option (alt) key, and the Continue button
will change into Remove Licensing Information Only. If you click on this,
the application will remove the licensing information, and you should be
prompted to enter your license key again the next time you start an Office
application. Repeat this procedure on your daughter's laptop as well, then
enter two different product keys, one for each machine.

Sorry, JE, I replied to the OP's message without noticing your reply.
