My wife and I just bought an imacG5. My wife uses a PC at work
(teaching)and uses Word with clipart all the time. The clipart within
office:mac 2004 student and teacher edition is really meager. I think
my wife might kill me if I don't find out how to access all of her
clipart that she has available at work on her PC. As you can tell,
I'm the mac fan, she's not (& might never be without this problem
solved!) Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Mark,

Start up the clip gallery and click the OnLine button. You'll be taken
to the on line clip gallery at Microsoft (works with IE as the default
browser and might work with other browsers, too). There's loads of free
clips there that you can download for free.

I think I'm correct in saying that all the clipart in Office X is
available fron the Microsoft site. Maybe not, but I browsed through
it, after having encountered the same deficiency in Office 2004 and
found everything I was looking for which I previously had access to
from Office X on my hard drive.

I contacted MSoft about this to see if they could get someone to write
a module to enable the contents of the clipart folder in Office X to
be easily transferred to Office 2004. If you try to do it manually, en
masse, you will mess up the internal Office 2004 database of clipart
items, so there's no point in trying to Import from the Office X
folder. MSoft struggled to get to grips with why I might be requesting
this, but, after a vain exchange of emails, told me that they were
delighted to have been of assistance to me and to have a nice day.
Actually they hadn't been of assistance and, due to having to
laboriously download all the clipart I needed from their website, I
didn't have a nice day. It does seem to be a painfully obvious
omission from Office 2004 and begs the question 'Why?'.
