Office Mac 2004

No, Office 2004 will only work on Macintosh computers running Mac OS X
10.2.8 or above.

Will I be able to use Office Mac 2004 on Windows hard drive?

Okay since I cannot use Mac in Windows, where can I get an office program cheap because the Mac was really expensive to me. I need to be able to carry this laptop with me for work.

While you can¹t run Office 2004 on Windows, you *can* open documents on a
Windows machine that were created in Office 2004. So if your laptop is Mac
and your work machine is Windows, you will have no trouble opening Word docs
on either (provided your Windows version of Word isn¹t older than Word 97).

If the problem is that your work machine doesn¹t have Office/Word installed
and you¹re looking for a cheap version of Office for Windows, my best advice
would be to Google for it and see what you come up with.

In which case, you are in the wrong group, which is why we're getting so
confused :) This group supports Macintosh software, which will not run on
any kind of Compaq :)

You need to buy a copy of Microsoft Office for Windows. If you ask nicely
at work, they should give you a copy: most large businesses have a licence
that allows them to install Office on their employee's laptops.

Otherwise, eBay is your friend! The price you will pay depends on the
version you buy. The price you pay will depend on the version you buy.

The oldest version you will be able to use is Office 2000. Office 2003
would be a good middle option. Office 2007 is the latest and most
expensive. Office 97 is too old to be useful.
