Office:mac 2008 installer installed PowerPC apps on new Intel iMac

I just purchased a new iMac and successfully installed brand new shrink
wrapped software: Microsoft Office:mac 2008. Additionally, I ran Microsoft
AutoUpdate to ensure I had all of the latest updates - each ran successfully
and all applications were successfully updated to the latest versions.

Following the software installation I ran Apple System Profiler to audit all
the applications that were installed and I noticed all applications installed
were Universal with the exception of three applications which are listed as
PowerPC apps. Following is an extract from the System Profiler Report:

Microsoft Query:
Version: 10.0.0
Last Modified: 12/3/07 3:00 AM
Kind: PowerPC
Get Info String: 10.0.0 (1204) Copyright 1995-2002 Microsoft Corporation.

Location: /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/Microsoft Query

MSMLServer:
Version: 1.0
Last Modified: 11/14/07 3:53 PM
Kind: PowerPC
Get Info String: 1.0, ©1986-2005 Microsoft Corporation
Location: /Applications/Microsoft Office 2008/Office/Microsoft Messaging

MSMLServer:

Kind: PowerPC

Library.bundle/MSMLServer

MSML Server was loaded in two different locations?!

I am concerned that I may have problems if I happen to run any of these
PowerPC apps on the Intel iMac or just the fact that they are even present on
the computer and may cause problems If I run Word, Powerpoint, Excel, or
Entourage?

Please advise if I should delete these PowerPC apps from my new Intel iMac
or what I should do with them? and, if you have replacement Universal apps
for these three PowerPC apps?

Is my system likely to crash given that these applications may be present?

Thanks for your help,
John

Yep, it looks like those applications are still Power PC. You do seem to
have the latest versions. I just ran Query and it seem to run fine. I don't
think you need to worry about anything. I think the 2 different MSML servers
are one for OSX and the other for classic. Other than they take up a little
hard disk space, don't worry about them.
