Office:Mac v.X Word - Loss of Tools/Envelopes

When I select Tools/Envelopes the correct screen appears and an envelope is
formatted. When I select Print it appears that the envelope is sent to the
Epson Stylus Photo 1270 Printer but nothing happens. Similarly if I try to
print an envelope via Merge Manager. Printing labels is no problem via Merge
Manager.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Having read earlier messages I have looked at Normal.dot in My Templates but
can see no sign of anything resembling an Envelope style. I installed an
update a few weeks ago and lost all my templates (lesson learned - make a
back-up copy of templates). But I'm still no nearer resolving the loss of
Tools/Envelopes facility.

I had Office:Mac vX Service Release 1 installed which I have since updated
with 10.1.6.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Well, I'm quite clueless about this. I assume the earlier messages you
mention suggested your envelopes might be formatted as hidden text? To test
that, go in Word | Preferences, Print tab, and check the "hidden text" box,
and see if telling Word to print hidden text makes a difference.

There are Envelope Address and Envelope Return styles, but if you looked in
the Formatting Palette, they probably didn't show up. You can always count
on accessing all styles via Format | Style.

What does installing the update and losing templates have to do with the
Tools | Envelopes issue? Did the problem occur after installing the update,
or are you saying installing the update didn't fix it?
