When I highlight the Anaylsis Toolpak in the Add-In box, it does not
give me any information in the gray box below (as the others do) and
will not ultimately add in.
When I first open Excel, it gives the message that "FuncRes" cannot be
found. If I click okay, Excel boots okay. I then open a blank
workbook and go to Tools and then Add-Ins and see the Analysis Toolpak
checked but, again, it will not load and when it tries to load, it
says that a FuncRes file is already open and that two files with the
same name cannot be opened at the same time even if in different
folders. If I do a search through finder for FuncRes, it opens the
last Excel file I had open.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. I have two
different files for Analysis Toolpak (one in the Value Pack folder and
one in the Office folder) neither of which loads.
I have another add-in (DDXL add-in) that will not load either nor does
it have a description in the bottom gray box when the box is checked,
so the problem is cross-program.
I have found some questions about this in various places but none
received an answer. I'm currently taking statistics and would really
rather use my Mac laptop rather than my desktop PC (upon which the
Excel toolpak works without problems), so I'd really like to get this
problem solved. Thanks, Terri
