Your iMac came with a Test Drive version of Office 2004, and I suppose you
didn't remove that one in the first place. You'd better uninstall Office
completely and then reinstall it (don't forget to apply all the updates). To
uninstall Office properly, you MUST use the Remove Office tool in
Applications/Office 2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office.

I've just upgraded from Office V.x to 2004. I used the 'remove office'
tool on the Office CD. I get the "framework library" message every time
I open an office app.

OK, folks, what have I done wrong?

Cheers,

Dave

Since you've run Remove Office, try emptying the trash, logging off,
then logging back into your account.

Thanks for that. After reading some of the other messages concerning
this problem I re-ran Remove Office. Then I cleared the Trash before
re-installing Office 2004. That appears to have solved the problem.

I probably forgot to empty the Trash before doing the install last time.

Thanks again.
