Office Not working after transfer to new HD

Hello,

I am looking for help with MS Office. A friend upgraded my HD (fro
20gb to 120GB) and used the software that came with it to transfer th
contents to the new HD. I am now unable to use some of my Offic
programs, Word, Power Point, Excal. All of the program icons that ar
associated with doccuments are now the generic one that looks like
small windows screen. I have tried to re-install office to run th
repair feature but when I try to open the install program I get a erro
message that states:

"This patch package could not open. Verify that the patch exists an
that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verif
that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."

is there anyway that I can re-install office or repair the portions o
the programs that are missing and causing the problems?

Thank you,

Joh

I experienced this same problem when upgrading my HDD. I downloaded and ran
the msicuu2.exe but it did not resolve the problem. I am still getting this
error message. I can't uninstall, repair or reinstall Office at all. Are
there any other solutions?
