Office Notification 'not responding' when choose "Dismiss All"

Craig Roberts

Hi

Here's the story...

Installed Entourage 10.3.5 on PowerBook G4 1.5GHz running Mac OS X 10.3.9.
Configured to connect to already existing account on Exchange 2003
(6.5.7638.1).

The account has 1.8GB of data in the account and over 1,400 office
notifications from the past.

There's no way I am going to click "Dismiss" for that many notifications so
obviously chose "Dismiss All".

It worked, except for a flash of white occasionally, which was much larger
than the dismiss window itself.
Then when it reach notification 672 the white window flashes on/off rapidly,
constantly. Only a force quit will stop it.

The email account works, but the Office Notifications are now unusable,
which is totally unfeasible for a company Director.

Any idea why this is happening and how to dismiss them all?

Regards
Craig.

Try deleting the preference file: com.microsoft.OfficeNotifications.plist
to see if that will help.

I¹m not sure if this works on exchange accounts, but go into Tasks and use a
custom view to find all incomplete tasks and mark them completed there.
