office one note session still running

So I have been using office onenote 2007 for over 6months now and i am now
faced with this new problem. Everytime I close office one note and start it
again it says' the previous one note session is still running and is now
attempting to close". This message does not go away until I open my task
manager and end program . It is only than can I restart one note. Can someone
tell me whay this is occuring?

There may be some leftover indexing or file cleanup that is occurring,
which ON will attempt to finish before terminating. What happens if you
let it sit for ~5 minutes before trying to start the program again?
