Office Outlook 2003 has encountered a problem and needs to close.

When I open outlook 2003 pro, it gives me a message that it has encountered a
problem and needs to close. If I try to run my anti-virus to check outlook it
says the same thing except it closes my anti-virus. Any ideas?

I could not get outlook to start in safe mode. I was able to set up a new
email account but it runs very slow and doesn't have any of the buisness
contacts or any of the additional options. Most of the things on the help
page you linked me to I do not know how to do. Thank you for your help. Any
other ideas or a place to go for dummies?

This problem is tied in with other microsoft applications. I can't download
any microsoft updated either. What do you think?

Did a repair on Office already? Insert your Office CD and start setup. After
this see if new updates can be installed.
