Our office recently upgraded from exchange 5.5 to 2003. One of the client's
outlook 2003 will not open and gives me the following error: 'Cannot start
microsoft office outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window. The set of
Folders could not be opened.'

the only error that shows in the application log is the following:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: LoadPerf
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2002
Date: 4/27/2006
Time: 09:00:00 AM
User: N/A
Computer: Bob
Description:
The MOF file created for the Outlook service could not be loaded. The error
code returned by the MOF Compiler is contained in the Record Data. Before the
performance counters of this service can be collected by WMI the MOF file
will need to be loaded manually. Contact the vendor of this service for
additional information.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the program, and it starts to open but
that closes.

Please help!!

Have you checked if the Outlook profile is properly connected or tried
recreating it?
