Office outlook email setup

Need help.

Set up a Gmail accout setting exactly how google outline it.
Set up another email account from Earthlink ISP, also as outline by earthlink.

Un both cases, outlook office indicated successful settup, however when I
clicked on send and receive toggles all I get is error message as follows:
'THE OPERATION FAILED. AN OBJECT COULD NOT BE FOUND.'
What does this mean?? What object??

Help Help with specifics!

You first: what version of Outlook? Is there anything in the Event log?

Please be very specific. I am a novice in this software...or any for that
matter.

Did you install the Business Contact Manager or not?

No I have not installed the contact manager! Would that have any impact on
my problem?

It might have affected it had you installed it. BCM can complicate the
picture. Is there any indication as to what object Outlook is seeking?
Have you tried Help>Office Diagnostics? Have you looked in the Event log to
see if there are any indications there as to what's ebing affected?
