Office Outlook restarts when using Sent to...Mail Recipient

Hi All,

I have a frequent and pesky problem when trying to send as an attachment
Word or Excel files using the Send To -> Mail Recipient command.

At random, but frequent intervals, an error message pops up telling me that
Outlook must restart. Then, after deciding whether or not to report the
problem to Microsoft, it dutifully restarts itself and shows that the message
was sent. I've never lost any documents in the mail (so to speak), but it is
an annoying bug that I'd like to fix if I can.

I'm running XP Pro SP2 with Office 2003 (with Office Outlook).

have you tried detect and repair? (help menu)

do you have any addins installed?

Thank you Diane,

I'll try Detect and Repair and see if it recurs. I thought I had done this,
but you jogged some grey matter that told me that that was for another
problem in word, not Outlook!!
