When I installed Vista Service pack one, things started to go bad. Programs
would not uninstall and my Office 2003 O.E., crashed
everytime I tried to click the send and recieve mail button. Then I had to
do a whole lot of crap to get things to work. In an
effort.
These are the steps which I used to solve my own problem.
1.) Used The Auto Repair Feature In Office 2003 (Which Failed)
2.) Deleted Everything In Prefetch Folder
3.) Uninstalled my Firewall (Zone Alarm)
4.) Uninstalled Virus Protection (Webroot)
5.) Deleted Windows Temp Files
6.) In Internet Settings, I Deleted All Content
7.) Rebooted
8.) Reinstalled System Mechanic Pro (Firewall / Anti Virus Included)
9.) Ran System Mechanic To Fix Program Short Cut Errors & Registry Errors
(It Found Many)
10.) Ran Email Application Again - It worked.
Another suggestion - and I dont want to sound like I'm pushing software, but
these particular ones have saved me time and time
again; especially the first one!

If you use anything by Nortons - get rid of it! Did you know they were sued
for installing phishing content in their programs???
Just my two cents on how to deal with this problem.
