Hello Madision and SvenC,
Office hasn't made its symbols available to the public yet. We internally
held a discussion around it when Office 2007 was released, and it was
decided that this wouldn't be changed for Office 2007. This blog entry from
Microsoft lists part of reasons:

I am sorry for the inconveniences resulting from it when debugging Office
COM Add-ins. If you find any hard issues that cannot be handled without
Office symbols, feel free to contact our Customer Support Services (CSS) at
1-(800)936-5800 or by choosing one of the options listed at
http://support.microsoft.com/common/international.aspx?rdpath=fh;en-us;cntac
tms, where you will get quick, effective and direct assistance from a
Microsoft Support Professional.
Regards,
Jialiang Ge (

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/support/default.aspx.
