Office Picture Manager disables XP Image Resizer Powertoy

Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know the fix?

After upgrading from Office XP to 2003 with all the XP powertoys installed, the XP Image Resizer Powertoy no longer works. In fact none of the powertoys that have anything to do with images work (the context sensitive menu items are gone).

In addition I'd like to reinstall the older Photo Editor tool because it seems to be easier and faster and had more options for editing than the new "easy to use" Picture Manager does. So far this is the only "downside" I've found during the upgrade process.

The Power Tools are for Windows XP, they have little to do with Office. If you are
having graphics problems it could be your video driver may need updating.
You can resize your images in the Picture Manager, a simple process by the way.

Try running this from Start | Run | Type > regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

If you have lost the resize option in the contextual menu then use the above
to restore the function. Post any other problems you might be experiencing.

You should be able to use Office XP setup to reinstall the Photo Editor.

The resizer re-reg did the trick thanks!

Somebody else posted about the camera wizard also being disabled as well as the picture resizer following the Office 2003 install...I will post your re-reg fix in response to his question but can't help him on the scanner/camera wizard thing because that hasn't happened to me...

Thanks again,

Mike
