Hello,
I want to know if someone else have the same problems as we do.
The problem is as follows.
We have the My Documents folder on a File Server.
My Pictures is a sub dir of this folder.
When the users start the Office Picture Manager then this program looks in
the My Picture folder. But it keeps looking (30 times a second) if you start
a network trace then it queries the server to frequently "QUERY DIR INFO" in
network trace terms.
When to many users start Picture Manager then the servers "system" process
100% and is responding very slow.
Why is Picture Manager Querying the Directory for Directory info 30 times a
second instead?
I have tested this also when My Pictures are local and with NTFILE monitor I
see the same result in my I/O.
Kind Regards.
