I have never had a problem installing or using Office 2000 Premium (the
version I use until the new viewer comes out) on an XP-based computer... Is
there a specific problem you are running into?
Office 2000 runs on Windows XP without a patch. If it's giving you a
problem, you need to be more detailed with your description.
