Office Pro 2003 Evaluation Kit doesn't take Volume License Product Key

I installed the Office 2003 evaluation kit and purchased EOLP volume
licenses. The volume license product keys don't work with the
evaluation kits.

Is there a work around?
If not, is the best practice to install over the evaluation kit? I
don't want to lose any settings.

Of course, it is not compatible, you must use the Volume installation kit,
(where the VOLK works).
setup will automatically remove all previous versions and/or overwrites the
license with for the product, so it should work fine.
