Office Pro 2004

The system requirements for the new Office Professional suite indicate that
one must have a G3 or above that operates at 700 MHz or above. I am
interested in get the new suite but not a new machine. What parts of the
suite will not work on a 500 MHz machine?

Since Office 2004 Standard doesn't have any CPU speed requirements, it
can only be VPC.

That's not to say that VPC absolutely won't work on a 500MHz machine - I
don't know - but the fact that MS doesn't feel it's fast enough to
recommend should probably tell you something.

Virtual PC, as already noted. If you don't need VPC (or already have it),
then save yourself some money (about $150) and just get Office Mac Standard.
The only difference between Office Mac Pro and Standard is VPC.
