Office Pro 95 compatibility

Hi, I'm new to this, please bear with me.
I have Microsoft Office Professional & Bookshelf Designed for Windows 95
(version 7.0). It came with an old PC I bought years ago. (It says for
distribution with a new PC only). I want to know if it can be used with my
new PC that is running Windows XP Home Edition? When I try to install, I
don't get a error just a dialog box that says it was not installed. If it is
compatible I need a rather detailed step by step because this is all new to
me.(Used a Mac for the last 8 years.)

You cannot use an OEM version (one that came with a PC) on another PC
Look for Student &Teacher version of Office 2003 if you are eligible (kid in
family)

Thank you for post.
Can I purchase a retail version of Office 95 software and install it on my PC?
My wife uses it and wants Access and Bookshelf for her work.

Try this link for the purchase of Office 95 Pro.. I don't think that Office
95 was Y2K compatible.. you will need a patch..

Maybe you should consider getting a newer version..
