Can someone who understands MS's copyright policies wrt ebay resellers
explain why my auction for a 97 Office Pro cd, new & unopened, that was
purchased by myself many years ago, was ended? I'm getting automated
responses from the Microsoft & ebay people.
Why should I not be allowed to sell this software that I purchased,
Microsoft made the purchase money from, I never opened, installed or
registered, and its not a copy or OEM?
I don't have the original box and can't even remember if it came with one to
be honest. The rules cited by Microsoft's ebay watcher & ebay themselves
cite bootleg, OEM, unauthorized resellers, and software without a
certificate of authenticity.
Well I'm not a reseller, just someone looking to recoup a little of her
money back for a cd that has been collecting dust.
To my knowledge its not OEM. It doesn't state NFR or anything else on the
cd.
Its not a bootleg and no Office cd comes with a CoA. Not the 97, not the
2000 I own and not the 2003 I own.
So what is the reasoning behind this? TIA
