What is the difference between Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and
Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 Academic, besides the price?

Just to chime in:
The academic version legally can only be used for "training" and not for
commercial application.

This is what I want to know. I bought the standard edition, knowing I needed
to learn more. Was going to loose my job of 28 year in computers. Now going
to school and learning all Microsoft Office. Access and Publisher isnt on
the standard edition. Thru school I can get the Academic price, which I
already bought the standard at $400 I dont have another $500 to spend. I'm
confused that if I get the academic one that I will then need to buy another
professional addition.
So hear is my dum question. What does not commerical application mean?

Debra,
Commercial application means to make money from its use.
