Office problems with opening and saving docs. Reinstalling is no h

NeonFairy

I am having trouble with 2 computers who do not want to open up any documents
or save them when using MS Office. I've gone as far as uninstalling Office
and re-installing it several times but that doesn't seem to help. I got some
error messeges about there being a problem with WINWORD.EXE and about a
buffer overrun. I've checked permissions, firewalls, directories, have all
the MS updates, viruses, everything! I'm going crazy! How can I solve this
issue?

Cheerios to all!

Hello, tried this link and it's not available.
(kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm) Any suggestions?? I'm having horrible
problems with Word just dropping in the middle of a project. Winword.exe
errors...and the other gal in my office is having the 'hanging up' in outlook
and other programs when she tries to attached or drag a file. Help!

Thank you so much, prior to trying the discussion groups I had spent hours
uninstalling, reinstalling, updating, removing update, nothing worked. This
took about 5 seconds and everything is now fine.
