office product key

i had my computer wiped by the geek squad at best buy and now when i try to
use ms office it tells me to put in my product key otherwise after 25 uses it
will block... blah blah
neways, when i try to enter my product key it tells me i have the wrong code
and to double check it is right and re-enter it?
nebody have an idea how to fix this?

Enter the correct key. The key on the bottom or back of the computer is the
wrong key for Office if that is what you are using. That key is for Windows
only.

If you purchased Office and received a CD case, the key is on an orange
sticker on the CD box that says "Don't lose this....."

If you purchased Office from the internet, the key will be on the email you
received after paying for the product.
