Office Professional 2003 Retail Version Rebate

A

We purchased a copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2003 Retail Version on
April 12, 2004 via mailorder. On the Microsoft website there is a rebate of
$75 if you purchase a copy of the Microsoft Office Professional 2003 Retail
Version by April 16, 2005. The SKU number on our version of Office
Professional is 269-07387 but the SKU number indicated on the rebate form is
269-06738. We called the rebate center and they said that since our SKU
number does not match the number on the rebate form, that they will not honor
the $75 rebate. As far as we can tell, the two SKU numbers are for the exact
same product and since we purchased a copy of the Microsoft Office
Professional 2003 Retail Version by April 16, 2005 we should get the $75
rebate. Has anyone else had this problem?

From the information you provided it would appear that
you do qualify for the rebate. (I'm assuming you meant
you purchased it April 12 2005 rather than 2004 <g>)
If you'll email your contact /rebate information to me I'll forward it to
the correct folks for their follow-up. :)
