Office Professional 2003

D. Dean

I am considering buying an upgrade of the newly released
Office Professional 2003 software. I have a question
about activation which I have difficulty getting a clear
answer from the local retailers and cannot find out
anything on the Microsoft support website.

Question -- Will Microsoft let you activate Office
Professional 2003 on two computers (such as my desk top
and my laptop)like they would with Office XP?

I prefer to have this information in advance rather than
finding it after I purchase and try to install the
software.

Retail versions of Office have always let you install on a desktop and
portable. Office 2003 is no different. Plus, the Office 2003 STE allows
installations on up to 3 computers so students can have a copy on 2 desktops
(home and school) and a laptop, or 3 students at home can each have their
own copy.

Academic versions may vary. OEM software is installable only on the
computer with which it came.
