Office programmes inaccessible after XP Home repair

I have installed a parallel copy of XP Home in the same partition of my hard
drive as a corrupted version (which I will remove shortly). I was able to
copy everything out of my old Documents and Settings folder to a new one, and
I now have most of my old software up and running, with one exception -
Office Pro.

The entire suite of programmes is still present, and will attempt to open,
but when I click on a relevant file (eg. a Word document) I get a message as
follows:

<Microsoft XXX has not been installed for the current user>

and the software shuts down.

How can I recover access to the Office package ?

So, you were unable to repair the origonal win version?
And if you attempt a Detect / Repair or reinstallation of Office?

Hi DL. Yes, I never managed to repair the old installation. The new parallel
XP Home is running fine, and I intend to remove the corrupted installation
shortly.

I'm just about to try a detect/repair/einstall of Office Pro, and I will
report back after that.
