Office programs continuously shut down?

When I start Word, Outlook, Publisher, etc each program
shuts down and I get the "send error report message".
This happens to each program everytime I try to start one
up. I have uninstalled Office then reinstalled Office
but the same thing keeps happening?

Any ideas?

Windows XP. I did not apply the patch. I have really
not done much of anything to it, the computer is new. I
heard there are some communication problems with XP and
Office?
